I think I am dying! At least that’s the way I feel. I haven’t been able to do anything except lay in bed and crawl to the kitchen to try to feed and hydrate myself. I am still very nauseous. I don’t think I have ever been this nauseous before and it really sucks. Everytime I take a drink of something it comes up and I am running to the bathroom. It seems that .. Read More

Today I feel like I am 100 years old. I fell asleep on the couch last night which I’m sure didn’t help with my back pain. I woke up today with my whole body aching. Part of me feels like I need to stretch my body, the other part feels like it needs a vallium. I had a hair appt at 11am today and just couldn’t drag myself out of bed fast enough to make .. Today was the first day I have been home in awhile. It felt great to be back home. I had to tell myself over an over to calm down and relax. As soon as I woke up I started thinking of all of these things that I had to do, errands to run, and people I needed to be in touch with. I finished a couple of chores around the house and then took a shower .. Read More

Yeah! I was finally discharged today from CTCA. Now let’s hope that nothing changes over the next 24 hrs. That would be just my luck. So far I feel pretty good. I slept a good portion of the day. The chemo side effects are starting to kick in. I felt a little nausea all day and was a little drained. Other than that, my back feels much better after the vertebrowplasty. When .. Read More
Ouch! I woke up this morning to a freezing cold ice bath! I was reaching to put an icepack on my head and the whole thing broke open, showering me with ice cold water all over my body and bed. Thank goodness the nurse’s assistant was just leaving the room so she could help me out of the soaking mess and into my robe right away.
I am starting to feel the side effects from the chemo. My .. Read More

Today is day 2 of the chemo Taxotere and so far so good. I spoke with the oncologist today and he said I shouldn’t see any side effects until later in the week or even into next week. I am nervous about the wedding and how I will be feeling, but no matter what happens I am going and will put on a smile. The doctor also said I will definitely loose my hair, including eyebrows and eyelashes. .. Read More

Today brought new hope. Since the pill chemo wasn’t working, the doc wanted to switch to the new chemo through infusion called Taxotere. I am a little scared because of the side effects. Some of the side effects include: nausea, hair loss, swelling of ankles, feet, loosening of nails and more! What the H–” is that supposed to mean, “loosening of the nails??}I am hoping that this chemo will be the magic bullet to cure .. Read More

Yesterday I finally had the vertebrowplasty surgery on my back. I am happy to say that it was successful and can already feel some pain relief! The area that they worked on was the T5 part of my vertebrae and I am pretty sore in that area. I’m just glad that it’s all over with for now. I believe this will be my 4th vertebrowplasty…pretty soon my whole back will be cemented.
I have been sleeping pretty .. Read More

I can’t believe I am still here at CTCA. I was starting to go a litle stir crazy not know the plan of action. Sitting around waiting for more morpine, hoping the radiation is working doesn’t quite do it for me. I need to feel like we are working towards a solution. The past few days have been a blur. Ever since I took some adavan for the MRI I haven’t quite been the .. Read More
