December 12, 2010
On December 11, 2010 we held a small life celebration for Melissa. Her closest friends and family members attended the party. The wine flowed and the food was delectable, just as Melissa would have wanted. Fond memories were shared, and many laughs were had as we all remembered our spirited sister. It was a room filled with love for Melissa. We all knew Melissa was there listening to the conversations and partaking in the laughs.

February 3, 2009 Melissa A. Waller was diagnosed with incurable stage four, Lung Cancer and she passed away November 25, 2010.
Melissa was a person who believed in doing things that scared her. She didn’t let obstacles define her: She reinvented all the rules. She traveled to dream destinations and lived life to the fullest while fighting this disease. .. Read More

Over the past week we have received many phone calls, emails, blog postings, etc. from friends and loved ones expressing their condolences, leaving Melissa fond farewell messages, and wanting further information on what they can do. Today at 2:00 pm Melissa took her last breaths in the arms of her family. She now will be in the arms of her mother, who we know was awaiting her with open arms. We are extremely grateful to tell you Melissa was very peaceful and in no pain in the end. Melissa was truly a spirited warrior and fought to the very end.
